June 6th, 2026 Training

Today, members of the Atkinson County Fire Department spent their Saturday doing what they do best, preparing to serve others. Utilizing an acquired structure, firefighters participated in hands on training that included entry operations, victim removal, ventilation techniques, and live fire demonstrations.

The training concluded with a controlled burn that allowed firefighters to observe firsthand the many factors that influence fire growth and spread during real world incidents.

Despite the heat and demanding conditions, our volunteers remained committed to learning and improving their skills. We are thankful for each member who dedicated their Saturday to training and becoming better prepared to protect the citizens of Atkinson County.

Training opportunities like these provide valuable real world experience that helps ensure our firefighters are ready to serve when emergencies occur. 🚒🔥
