👀🔥 OKAY… Y’ALL ARE GOING TO HAVE TO TRUST US ON THIS ONE.

We’re officially down to the finishing touches on the flyers and tickets, and this thing is starting to get REAL. 😈🔥

Atkinson County EMA/Fire has done plenty of the traditional fundraisers we all know and love… but this time, we’re changing things up and taking it to another LEVEL.

We’re going BIGGER.

🔥 Bigger area.
🔥 Bigger crowd.
🔥 Bigger excitement.
🔥 And potentially a MASSIVE prize pool. 👀

This fundraiser isn’t stopping at the county line either. From Douglas to Valdosta and everywhere in between, we expect people to be coming after these tickets.

Here’s all we’re saying for now…

☕🎟️ LOW ticket price — think about what some folks spend on a Starbucks order in ONE DAY.

🔥 We’re expecting tickets to move FAST — possibly HOURS to DAYS, not weeks.

👀 Younger AND older generations are going to want in on this one.

Heat Advisory and Extreme Heat Warning are in effect Today 11 AM to 8 PM. The combination of temperatures rising to the mid and upper 90s and with oppressive humidity values will create peak heat indices in the 108°-113° range. Stay hydrated, Limit strenuous time outdoors in the afternoon, Use AC and fans, wear lightweight clothing.

🚒 GRANT AWARD ANNOUNCEMENT! 🚒

The Atkinson County Fire Department is proud to announce that we have been awarded the 2026 Fireworks Tax Grant in the amount of $15,292.00!

These grant funds were used to purchase much-needed fire hose to replace and improve our department’s equipment:

🔥 48 sections of 2.5" fire hose — totaling 2,400 feet
🔥 24 sections of 1.5" fire hose — totaling 1,200 feet

That’s a total of 3,600 feet of new fire hose that will be placed into service throughout our department.

Reliable fire hose is one of the most essential pieces of equipment we use during fire suppression operations. This grant allows us to continue upgrading our equipment while reducing the financial burden on our local taxpayers.

We greatly appreciate the funding made available through the 2026 GFSTC Fireworks Tax Grant and the continued support of our community, county leadership, and everyone who helps make improvements like this possible.

Sunday evening we got the chance to help out our neighbors in Berrien County when they requested assistance with a to***co barn fire. We always appreciate the opportunity to help our neighbors when the need arises.
