Waking kids up for school can feel like an Olympic event 😂
Thank goodness summer break is officially here!

And we know it carries its own version of stress. Which is exactly why we talk so much about:
🌿 movement and walking
🌿 slowing down and deep breathing
🌿 laughter and connection
🌿 and protecting our mental wellness as parents too

Parenting asks a lot from us emotionally, mentally, and physically.

Research continues to show that even simple things like walking outdoors, movement, sunlight, conversation, and intentional pauses can help reduce stress, improve mood, regulate anxiety, and support overall mental health 🤍

So as summer begins, this is your reminder:

Take the walk.
Take the breath.
Take the moment.
Drink the coffee (or tea) while it’s still hot if possible 😂
And don’t forget to take care of YOU too.

Because healthier parents help build healthier families and healthier communities 🌿

One of the most powerful conversations from this year’s Mother’s Day Walk & Wellness Celebration came from a dad.

Meet Rhino from Teddy Bears on Wheels — a single father raising his daughters full time.

Instead of celebrating “Mother’s Day,” their family celebrates what they lovingly call “WOW Day.”

Because parenthood is bigger than titles.
It’s about showing up, loving deeply and staying resilient.

This conversation reflected so much of what our movement is really about.

We walk together because life IS a journey and together we can move forward even when life gets hard.

One step at a time.
One lesson at a time.
One healing conversation at a time.

And whether you’re a mom, dad, grandparent, guardian, mentor, bonus parent, or simply someone helping support and guide others — your presence matters more than you know.

Healthy communities are built when people feel:

At the heart of the Mother’s Day Walk & Wellness Celebration was always something bigger than an event. 🌿

It was about creating spaces where people feel safe, supported, connected, seen, and cared for.

Which is why partnering with Isaiah 117 House Brazoria County meant so much to us this year 🤍

When children enter foster care, they are often removed from everything familiar in a matter of moments. Many wait in offices or temporary spaces while placement arrangements are made.

Isaiah 117 House is changing that.

Their newly opened Pearland-area home now gives children in crisis a warm, welcoming place filled with comfort, care, clean clothes, toys, snacks, and compassionate support during one of the hardest moments of their lives.

This mission reflects so much of what our event stands for:
✨ community
✨ connection
✨ wellness
✨ compassion
✨ showing up for one another

Thank you to every family, volunteer, sponsor, vendor, and guest who helped make this possible simply by participating in this year’s walk.
