The Pack Committee in conjunction with the Cubmaster oversees the pack activities and administration. We are a very active, family-oriented pack camping two to four times a year around Houston area (Brazos Bend, Galveston State Park to name a few). We sponsor an annual Pinewood Derby, Rocket Launch, Blue and Gold Banquet, and Arrow of Light ceremony, as well as other activities such as STEM activi
ties, indoor wind tunnel "skydiving", and NASA. We encourage the whole family to participate and attend, and even create special events for siblings. We participate in District events such as Twilight camp, Cub-O-Ree, and Webelos Resident Camp, We visit historical sites such as the USS Lexington and even stay overnight. We always are looking to visit new places and do fun things even over the summer. Pack 446 is a strong supporter of Keep Pearland Beautiful having adopted Southwyck Parkway and areas around Silvercrest Elementary. We also give back to the community with an annual Christmas Service Project and often look for volunteer opportunities when we camp out at various parks. Pack 446 was formed in the Summer of 2004 as a Boy Scout of America unit in the Northern Star District within the Bay Area Council. We are chartered by Manvel Volunteer Fire Department. Our pack is divided by grade level, K through 5th, into dens which meet regularly at various locations. Full Pack 446 meetings are monthly at Silvercrest Elementary, last Thursday of the month. In-person den and pack activities will be in accordance with appropriate COVID-19 health precautions. Virtual meetings are encouraged where appropriate.
