Are you 11–13 years old and love to draw, paint, or create? Then we want to see what YOU think peace looks like! 🌎✌️

The Lions International Peace Poster Contest gives students your age the chance to turn their ideas about peace into a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork. And who knows? Your artwork could go from your community all the way to an international competition! 🌟

This year’s theme is:

💙 “Harmony in Humanity” 💙

You could even win US$5,000 if your artwork is selected as the international grand-prize winner!

🦁 The Pearland Silverlake Lions Club is looking for creative young artists in our community who want to take on the challenge and share their vision of peace through art.

Texas Lions Camp 🦁⛺
It’s not too early to start thinking about finding and sponsoring campers for Texas Lions Camp next year! 💙

The 2027 camp schedule is already out, so now is a great time to start identifying families who could benefit from this amazing experience and making sure they know about the opportunity.

💦☀️Some of our amazing Lions had a blast helping out at Forgotten Angels’ Splash Day today! 💙🦁

It was a fun-filled day of with snow cones, lots of smiles, and great fellowship! We’re always grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside our community and make a few memories while we’re at it.

💙🦁This past Saturday, July 25, a couple of our Pearland Silverlake Lions Club members had the privilege of volunteering at the St. Vincent de Paul Food Fair.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Houston Food Bank, approximately 10,000 pounds of food were distributed, including fresh pineapples, radishes, plantains, 5-pound bags of potatoes, sliced bread, assorted produce, chips, salad kits, chives, and cauliflower. These donations were supplemented by the H-E-B Retail Rescue Program, which provided pastries and specialty breads.

The impact was amazing:
🍍 174 families received food assistance
❤️ 593 individuals were served

We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with organizations making a difference in our community. Together, we can help fight hunger and serve those in need—because where there is a need, there is a Lion! 🦁💙

What a great night at our general meeting! We had the pleasure of welcoming PDG Devin Lemon as our guest speaker, accompanied by his beautiful wife, Asheria.

PDG Devin put a fun twist on leadership training by incorporating a game of bingo into his presentation. We learned more about leadership, the many officer opportunities available within our club and throughout the district, and how each of us can grow through service.

It was a productive, engaging, and fun evening filled with learning, laughter, and fellowship. Thank you, PDG Devin Lemon and Asheria, for spending your evening with us, and thank you to everyone who joined us. We’re excited to continue serving our community together!

It was truly an honor for the Pearland Silverlake Lions Club to host the Texas Lions Camp Camper Awards Ceremony this past Friday! 💙🦁

Our club was proud to support this special event by presenting a donation of $5000 to Texas Lions Camp, sponsoring two travel stipends for camp counselors, and taking care of the cost of refreshment stand for the families as they gathered to celebrate the campers.

There is nothing more rewarding than recognizing these incredible campers and the dedicated counselors who help make the Texas Lions Camp experience so meaningful. Seeing the smiles, hearing the stories, and celebrating their accomplishments reminds us why we serve.

Congratulations to all of this year’s campers and counselors! We are grateful to play a small part in helping make the life-changing experiences at Texas Lions Camp possible and look forward to continuing our support for years to come.

Yesterday, the Pearland Silverlake Lions Club had the honor of participating in the Pearland Neighborhood Center’s 34th Annual Nonprofit and Service Organization Forum!

We were proud to host a booth and share information about our club, our service projects, and the many ways we support the Pearland community and beyond. Events like this provide a wonderful opportunity to connect with community members, network with other organizations, and highlight the impact that volunteer service can make.

Thank you to the Pearland Neighborhood Center for organizing this valuable event and to everyone who stopped by our booth to learn more about the Pearland Silverlake Lions Club. We look forward to continuing our mission of serving others and making a difference in our community. 🦁💙
