There is nothing more fulfilling and satisfying in this world than giving of yourself to others and making a contribution to our community and our fellow Filipino-American nurses! I remain convinced that the newly elected PNAA Executive Board will provide great vision and work hard to achieve it. Congratulations to all newly elected PNAA leaders. Let us all support all winners of these elections! It was a great run, and I'm thankful to all 581 PNAA voters who believe in me. We welcome Mary Joy Garcia-Dia and Gloria Beriones as our new PNAA leader to move our organization to this unprecedented time of world crisis.

My name is Jonathan Gecomo, I respectfully ask for your vote for PNAA President-Elect for 2020-2022.

I have dedicated my career as a nurse, educator, leader, informaticist, manager, director, and PNAA leader in protecting and advocating for our Filipino-American nurses. It is my life mission to serve our PNAA Family.

I have had the opportunity to serve PNAA in different capacities since I joined the organization in 2004 the first year I came to the US. PNAMH welcomed our group of Filipino nurses from the Philippines, and they protected us under their wings and became a family!

I believe, as PNAA President-Elect, it is vital to hear the voices of our members and not only a few. I believe that we can move PNAA Onwards with my platform. I echo this statement by Jack Welch that – “a leader's job is to look into the future and see the organization, not as it is, but as it should be."

As you cast your vote, you will have the greatest impact on PNAA future trajectory.

Finally, as a PNAA leader, the position is not about oneself, rather it is about the nurses/members to whom we serve. I cherish this responsibility.

I would appreciate your vote.

Jojo

“The influence of a mother in the lives of her children is beyond calculation.” —James E. Faust

Thankful for all the PNAA mothers who are our mentors, educators, leaders and who became our second mom who are the backbone of this organization! Without you, PNAA will not be able to become one of the leading national organization that advocates for Filipino-American Nurses!

Moms are always there for you. Moms shape lives and inspire dreams. Moms are the heart of the family. Moms grow love better than anyone... ...! Happy Mother'...

J.Gecomo Campaign for PNAA Pres-Elect 2020-2022

The world is currently confronted with a deadly global pandemic, one that has already led to cities across the world being placed into lockdown, and in a few more months will be leading to an unprecedented economic crisis. We as nurses are in the frontline battling this invisible war and we need all the help to continue our fight. Our PNAA family needs to move forward to continue our mission on championing for Filipino-American nurses and those who will come after us. We are campaigning to move our PNAA Family to the next chapter and be a proponent for change and innovation. To continue to change the public perception of our Filipino heritage, image and culture as Filipino-American nurse. Promote our significant contribution to our nursing community while equipping ourselves with tools to provide quality, safe and compassionate care! #PNAAfamily #VoteGecomoPNAAPresElect
