Troop 3336 used proceeds from the 2024 Girl Scout Cookie program to fund a weekend trip to Northeast Alabama. The courageous and strong Scouts teamed up with expert guides at True Adventure Sports in Little River Canyon to repel down the canyon wall and rock maze scramble at Cherokee Rock Village. The Scouts received valuable safety lessons about climbing and learned all about the interesting geology of this unique area of the country. North Alabama is one of two places in the whole world where glow worms exist! They also sampled many edible wild berries, bugs, ants, and leaves; noting that some tasted like grapes and tutti fruitti. The Scouts rounded off their adventure with a hike to the bottom of a Desoto Falls waterfall for a picnic then headed to the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville for a deep dive into the world of space exploration.

The Scouts sung some carols and passed out some holiday cards at the Brandon nursing home tonight. A lot of the residents were former GirlScouts! And one of them gave them worry worms which are super clever!

Check out Troop 3336 giving back to their sister troops at our annual camppout at Wahi in Brandon. Troop 3336 did all the planning then lead the activities, songs, crafts, cooked, and even cleaned up. They hosted over 50 scouts and parents. Exhausting but exciting weekend!
