Congratulations Rebecca Turner! We are so proud of you!

Rebecca Turner, MS, RDN, LD, DipACLM

My daddy always said I went to school long enough to be a doctor. 😂 He isn’t joking, and while I’m not a physician (by any stretch of the imagination), I never thought I’d be board-certified in any form of medicine.

But when life provides you with an opportunity that collides with your passions, take it. So after a year of intense studying, significant colleague support, lots of cussing, a mild panic attack, and a few “I can’t do this tears,” I passed the American College of Lifestyle Medicine Board Exam (first attempt)!

Officially, the only Registered Dietitian in Mississippi with the distinction of diplomate for the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine.

But that’s not because other RDs wouldn’t be suited for the exam. Most registered dietitians working in the real world with real people already practice lifestyle medicine (and don’t realize it) because they value the whole person. Others don’t get the opportunity to practice lifestyle medicine in their professional settings — but I’m prayerful the healthcare landscape will change. (It has to change because the status quo’s healthcare system isn’t working.)

Anyhow, off to find a frame! 🖼️
Because this bad girl is going on the wall!

Come see me and the other fabulous DipACLMs at UMMCs Lifestyle Medicine Clinic. 😘

Isn’t it true, we don’t even realize what we need to hear until we hear it? RCW showing up and telling the truth. Come meet other ladies and realize The Power Of Same. We’re more alike than we know. You’ll become familiar with Shuna Bryant and her Addy Cakes business too.

Ticket link is ACTIVE for the February 20 luncheon! We will have door prizes, catered lunch and “more than what you came for”! When you arrive, sign in by your name and have a seat at any table not RESERVED. Please invite a friend. It’s gonna be so fun!

If you have been doing the same thing month after month or year after year and you're ready to find out why and how to make a change, you'll want to be at this one. Think about this. How about the mother that made the lunch for the boy that provided his loaves of bread and fish for Jesus. Do you think that mom knew what was going to happen with the lunch she prepared? Probably the same lunch she prepared day after day. Think about that and grab your ticket for February 20!
