Congratulations to our 2026 Christopher Tucci Scholarship winner, Brissia Andrade-Guerra!

Brissia will be graduating from North Rockland High School this June and will be attending UConn this fall, where she plans to start her studies towards becoming a lawyer.

Brissia's passion for giving back is a huge component of what made her the ideal candidate this year. Not only does she want to become a human rights lawyer, but she has given back throughout her youth as well- most notably by giving back in memory of her own brother, Hugo, who passed away from cancer. She created the Heroes of Hope Initiative that focuses on assembling and delivering care packages of coloring books, toys, and other activities to Maria Fareri Children's Hospital to bring comfort to children who are battling cancer.

We wish Brissia the best- and thank you to all our donors and supporters who helped to make this possible. 🩵💛🤍

Last year we had the honor of awarding the Christopher Tucci Memorial Scholarship to the first ever recipient , helping her pursue her dreams at Clemson University playing on the wheelchair tennis team. Watching her continue to chase her goals while embodying the principles Chris stood for has been incredibly inspiring!

We’re proud to share that applications for this year’s scholarship are now open.

The ideal candidate will reflect the spirit Chris lived with — curiosity, varied interests, humility, a passion for life, and a desire to give back and do good.

This scholarship is open to high school seniors planning to attend college this fall to use towards intended to support tuition and educational expenses. The recipient will be announced on May 9th at our annual Putt Putt event in Pearl River!

February 12 marks what should have been Chris’s 30th birthday - a day that reminds us not just of how much we miss him, but of how he chose to live.

In a college essay, Chris once wrote, "All I know for sure is that when I look back on my life, I want to have enjoyed it, I want to have given it my all, and I want to have been a net positive on the rest of the world. That is all."

He wanted to be someone who left things a little better than he found them. While we wish more than anything that Chris were still here with us, we find comfort in knowing we can continue this legacy for him.

On February 12, we ask you to Pay It Forward in Chris’s name, honoring his wish to be a net positive on the world. Each act of kindness helps carry his legacy forward — through compassion and generosity.

All it takes is one act of kindness. Help someone without expecting anything back. Check in on a friend. Cover a coffee. Listen when someone needs to be heard. There is no such thing as a small act of kindness — because kindness itself is one of the biggest forces there is. These moments may seem small, but they ripple outward. Through those ripples, Chris’s impact lives on. Let's all be a net positive for Chris.

The parish of Blessed Trinity in Breezy Point has been working to raise funds to build a new gym and meeting space. Currently the parish gymnasium, utilized by the CYO kids for things like basketball games and other activities is inadequate and not even regulation sized.

They had almost reached their $5 million dollar goal when their St. Edmund's Church building burned practically to the ground the day before this past Easter. Needless to say, the "Campaign for the Point" fundraising for the new building was paused.

St. Edmund's is now almost rebuilt, so fundraising for the new building can come back into focus. A very generous benefactor has promised to MATCH all funds raised during the month of November to a maximum of $250,000.

That said, the Christopher Flynn Tucci Memorial Fund for the Campaign on the Point was created with the permission of his grateful parents.

Due to the past generosity of our followers and benefactors we were able to make a contribution of $2,500 donation to this campaign!

If you would like to help out, checks should be made payable to: Blessed Trinity- Campaign for the Point
No amount is too small!

Please mail them to Eileen O'Brien before November 26th to be eligible for matching.
