Matheny has career opportunities available for a Part Time Equipment Mechanic and a Full Time Maintenance Mechanic. These positions are both at our main campus in Peapack, NJ.

Part-time Equipment Mechanic duties include maintaining and repairing medical equipment and devices, managing medical equipment inventory, and more.

Full-time Maintenance Mechanic duties include repairing and maintaining mechanical systems (electrical, plumbing, and heating), assembling and installing equipment as needed, performing preventative maintenance checks, and more.

In celebration of , today we would like to share some of the exciting work by Yanira Acevedo-Romero.

Yanira began her journey as an artist just a few years ago, but has already started building an impressive body of work. She enjoys exploring her creativity and experimenting with all the endless options and variations available to her. Many of Yanira’s artworks revolve around the color purple and ideas of romance; giving visual form to her passions. She has big plans for the future and Yanira will be happy to tell you all about them.

Last week, the students in the Matheny School got eye exams!

We were excited to welcome the folks from Project BEST, a program from the NJ Department of Human Services, Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired, to our campus in Peapack to perform eye screening for our students.

Big thanks also to Angela Housel, Certified School Nurse at Matheny, for all of her work to organize this screening, and thanks to the Knights of Columbus Council 3359 Denville for their donation supporting Project BEST and making this event possible!

We are so grateful for this opportunity to support the eye health of our Matheny students!
