Another great week at Woodruff is in the books! A little rain wasn't enough to dampen anyone's spirits or turn the leaders into grumpy old men. Once the skies cleared, it was all about the hot stuff: fishing, swimming, Beaver Shark Park, water sports, merit badges, slushies, and everything that makes summer camp so fun.

Boy Scout Troop 525 Open House - Adventure, Leadership, Outdoors, and Friendship.

Monday, February 9, 2026: 7:30 PM

Simpsonwood United Methodist Church – Scout Area

Who’s it for?
• Cub Scouts / AOL Scouts who want to see what is next in their Scouting journey
• Boys ages 11–17 and their families who are interested in Scouting.
• There is no requirement for youth to have scouting experience

What activities will there be at the open house?
• Information and Q&A for parents
• Details on building a fire
• Information on how to properly sharpen a knife
• Instruction on folding the US flag and proper ways to display
• Demonstration camping area setup with hammocks and gear
