Today we honor a legendary member of the CPRC team.

Ernie Trakas, our Senior Litigation Counsel, has accepted an appointment as Senior Counsel in the Office for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Education. This is a well-deserved recognition of his decades of excellence in education law, Title IX, and civil rights advocacy.

At CPRC, Ernie brought wise insight, clear strategy, and genuine care for our clients. His contributions to cases including Willey, Landerer, Batie-Smoose, and Blair strengthened our fight to protect children’s health, defend parental rights, and secure female sports and spaces.

We are gratified to see Ernie begin his next chapter of service and grateful for the lasting impact he leaves with us. His last day with CPRC is September 4th.

Please join us in wishing Ernie well and in prayer that his gifts continue to be used mightily.

The whole alleged purpose for giving children these mistreatments, and interfering with their natural healthy physical and brain development, is to improve their mental health. The taxpayer funded study reveals what many have observed for a long time, that they do no such thing. This is medical fraud! And what’s worse, is that it is seriously harming vulnerable children.

A taxpayer-funded study of children and young adults taking puberty blockers and hormone treatments found no improvement in youth mental health.

A teacher was fired for refusing to conceal from parents that their children were rejecting their s*x at school.

CPRC and Our Duty–USA have filed a Supreme Court amicus brief in Polk v. Montgomery County Public Schools. Our brief explains why the district’s secrecy policy violates fundamental parental rights.

SCOTUS rules that states can ban males from female sports teams. A clear victory for protecting women’s athletics in red states — but legal experts are split on what this means for blue states that continue to allow biological males to compete. We break it down: [link to landing page in first comment]

$650,000 PAYOUT: A teacher has scored a massive victory after refusing to use transgender students’ preferred pronouns.

The teacher was punished for refusing to use the pronouns, but the court ruled in his favor, backed his religious beliefs, and awarded him $650,000.

This is a major win for religious freedom and common sense in the classroom. Educators should not be forced to violate their faith or deny biological reality to appease gender ideology.

CPRC President & Chief Counsel Vernadette Broyles is featured in this powerful The Epoch Times investigation into the legal battles over parental rights in teen transgender cases.

"Adults have got to stop allowing mentally distressed, underdeveloped minors run the show."

Parents’ authority must be affirmed - not undermined by states & courts. We’re fighting back in the courts and in legislatures across the country.

We also recently filed an amicus brief in the Supreme Court case International Partners for Ethical Care (IPEC) v. Ferguson, supporting IPEC’s petition for review of Washington’s harmful laws that separate children from parents who won’t affirm a transgender identity.

Parents who say they were separated from children for refusing to affirm transgender identity are still fighting states, and each other, in court.

Parents deserve to know what their kids are actually watching. Concerned Women for America found that more than 40% of Netflix children’s programming now includes LGBTQ+ and transgender themes — often in shows still rated TV-G or TV-Y7. The FCC is accepting public comments until May 22 on updating TV parental guidance ratings.

We need voices of truth to speak up and give their input to the FCC now. The FCC is currently being FLOODED with pro-LGBT comments. Join the Child and Parental Rights Campaign and Concerned Women for America: tell the FCC to update their TV rating system and make it clear to parents when transgender-related content is included. The FCC must stop letting streaming services hide this harmful content from parents.

CPRC President / Chief Counsel Vernadette Broyles recently sat down with Epoch Times’ NTD for a wide-ranging interview on the fight over gender ideology with schools and child protective services.

They covered secret school transitions, the disturbing weaponization of CPS against loving parents, and the growing momentum we’re seeing in the courts to protect parental rights.

Please watch as CPRC President / Chief Counsel Vernadette Broyles and January Littlejohn discuss the recent SCOTUS denial of cert in the Littlejohn vs. Leon County School System case.

CPRC’s Official Statement:

We are of course highly disappointed in the United States Supreme Court for denying cert in the Littlejohn vs Leon County Board of Education case. This case was another in which the court could have affirmed its commitment to protecting parental rights and child safety and for reasons we’ll never know, chose not to. But while this ruling is disappointing, it is NOT devastating to the cause. With SCOTUS already having ruled in the Mirabelli case, the tide is already turning in the direction of truth and parental rights, and our resolve to continue the fight has never been stronger.
