For Jessica, Inc.

For Jessica, Inc. We are a non-profit organization to assist victims of abuse. Please take a moment to read our President and Founder Bunny Boggs' personal story.

We are a nonprofit organization to assist victims of domestic violence, child abuse, and/or sexual assault. Our goals are to encourage abuse victims to seek help, and to educate others about abuse prevention. We welcome suggestions regarding needs you think this organization could address. Comments and questions can be sent to us via Facebook Messenger. My Story

I am an abuse survivor. I endured

years of emotional and physical abuse at the hands of my adoptive mother from an early age into my teens, and at the age of 15 I was a victim of r**e. That relationship ultimately led to a pregnancy and a subsequent forced abortion, a decision that was made by my mother, not me. Domestic violence is not just physical. Later in life I dealt with the financial consequences of economic abuse. Unfortunately, due to the fear and shame I had that was associated with those events, and the lack of trust in others, I was unable to ask for help and it was very difficult to truly heal emotionally. While some individuals close to me knew parts of my story, I was never able to face the reality that I was hiding so much from loved ones and that I had not gotten the help I needed. Through counseling and with the love and support of my husband and our family, I can now say I am on the path of healing. I have found my voice and it is my hope that with this organization I will be able to encourage others to come forward, to tell their stories, to find them help, to let the healing process begin. No one should have to wait 30 years for that, as I did. I am working on writing a book about my experiences, and I look forward to sharing more of my story. Though I do not know for sure, I have always felt in my heart that the baby I lost was a girl. I had given her the name Jessica, and this organization was formed and named in honor of her. For the person who almost didn’t make it here.

For the person reading quietly.
For the person who is tired of explaining why life feels heavy.
For the person who has been carrying more than anyone knows.

Stay.

Not because everything is fixed.
Not because pain magically disappears when Project Semicolon says something catchy, because everyone tries that.

Stay because your life is still here.
Stay because help can still reach you.
Stay because one hard chapter is not the whole story.

You are not alone.
Your story isn’t over.
Keep going.

If you’re in immediate danger or thinking about su***de, call or text 988 in the U.S. or Canada.

BREAKING NEWS! The TAKE IT DOWN ACT is now in effect. That means platforms such as websites and apps have 48 hours to remove intimate images shared without your consent after you report them, and they’re required to continually remove duplicates by federal law. The law applies to images and videos, real and fake, including AI-generated or “deepfake” content.

If a platform does not follow the law, you have the right to report them to the FTC, the government agency responsible for enforcing this law, at TAKEITDOWN.ftc.gov.

This is a major win for survivors and one step forward in combatting image-based sexual abuse. If you have struggled in the wake of this abuse, know that you are not alone and you deserve an expedient response when you report harm.

Platforms must do more to not only respond to this abuse, but to prevent these images from being created and spreading, shifting the onus of responsibility from survivors to perpetrators and the tech companies that facilitate this abuse.

Talking about domestic violence matters — but it’s only the first step.

Real change happens when awareness turns into action:
supporting survivors, speaking up, and building safer communities.

Together, we can do more than raise awareness — we can create change. 💜

I had a tattoo done with a semicolon inside a heart for my 50th birthday in 2015, as a reminder of what I have overcome and a reminder to always love myself. Two years ago my son got a semicolon tattoo, and we added “No matter what” and “No matter where” as support for each other. (“No matter when” is a great addition for a third person.)

May you always find a light in the darkness. Our stories aren’t over yet, and I look forward to tomorrow when we each write the next page.

Love always,

This is horrific. 🤬
(Pardon the language in the video.)
“What is masculine about drugging a woman and then assaulting her?”
