Their courage and selflessness help protect the freedoms, dignity, and sense of community we cherish every day at Bridgewell. ❤️🤍💙

Pictured: Staff and residents with Bridgewell's Individual Supports program were able to see over 37,000 American flags on Boston Common this past week. Each flag honors a fallen Massachusetts service member who gave their life in service to the country, dating back to the Revolutionary War.

Congratulations to Tasheaka and all the STAR participants!

Tasheaka Buchanan, a graduate of Bridgewell’s Johnson Street Women’s Recovery Program and current STAR participant, described arriving at the program while struggling with homesickness, unemployment, and separation from her daughter.

“My goals for coming to STAR were to earn my high school diploma, go to college, and improve my future,” she said. With support from STAR and North Shore Community College, Buchanan passed her HiSET exam and completed her first semester of college with strong grades.

“This experience has given me a fresh start and opened the doors to new opportunities,” she said.

Though Nurses’ Week has now passed, Bridgewell wants to share one more shout out to our nursing team. From clinical to day programs and everywhere in between, thank you for all you do. The “Power of Nurses” is felt day in and day out here at Bridgewell, and you all play a valuable role in keeping the people in our care safe and healthy. Thank you.

Bridgewell supports mothers in many ways: whether they are navigating recovery, receiving guidance through our Family Support Center, or supporting loved ones in our residential, day, and clinical programs. 💐💜 For some, Bridgewell helps their loved ones live more independently, offering peace of mind. For others, we provide the services and support they need to heal, grow, and move forward. This Mother’s Day, we celebrate all who nurture, support, and care for others in the Bridgewell community. And for those who find this day difficult, please know you are seen, and are supported at Bridgewell. 💐💜
