Payson Book Festival Payson Book Festival July 19, 2025 at the Mazatzal Hotel and Casino ballroom. Free event for readers. We’ve held the festival every year since then.

We began planning in 2014 and in 2015, held our first book festival. The response from authors and the local community blew out our expectations. The mission of the Payson Book Festival is to enhance the love of reading by providing an environment that encourages personal interaction between readers and Arizona authors. Its goal is to promote literacy and showcase Arizona authors.
