Four shooters finished in the 30 individually in the Class 1A boys varsity field, while nine finished in the top 30 in the Class 2A field. Meanwhile, two shooters finished in the top 30 in the Class 1A girls varsity division with five finishing in the top 30 in Class 2A.

CONGRATULATIONS MYLES ARROWSMITH!!!

Today, 13 Payson Trap Club kids shot in the State Tournament at Brittany Shooting Park in Bunker Hill, IL for Class 1A. As a team we placed 22nd out of 47 teams!

Here is a look at competition results for the Class 1A State Tournament:

Myles Arrowsmith got 2nd in the state overall and as a male in the varsity division, shooting a 99/100.
Abram Rice got 150th in the state varsity division, shooting a 86/100.
Jacob Twaddle got 163rd in the state varsity division, shooting a 85/100.
Brae Lair tied for 158th in the state varsity division, shooting a 85/100.
Kase Thormure tied for 57th in the state jr. varsity division, shooting a 80/100.
Jaxon Brinks got 118th on the state jr. varsity division, shooting a 70/100.
Gavin Bangert tied for 166th in the state varsity division, shooting a 85/100.
Beckett Schreacke tied for 128th in the state jr. varsity division, shooting a 68/100.
Lane Fleer , tied for 70th in the state novice division, shooting a 52/100.
Conner Butler tied for 25th in the state novice division, shooting 68/100.
Oliver Sill got 91st in the state novice division, shooting 41/100
Jacob O'Dear got 73rd in the state jr. varsity division, shooting 78/100
Brady O'Dear tied for 59th in the state novice division, shooting 54/100

While there, Myles Arrowsmith received his All State patch and his 1st place individual award for the 2026 Spring Season.

In July, Gavin Bangert and Myles Arrowsmith will be heading to Nationals in Mason, Michigan.

Payson had 11 youth participate yesterday in the Gamemasters shoot at The Gun Club. This was the first time many of our kids competed in a shoot other than our school league. They did great and we are so proud of each and every one of them!
