FIRST NIGHT UPDATE - Our Teddy Bear campers are settled in for the night after a rather hot start to camp. Right now, fans are on in the cabins, the night is cooling down, and the kiddows are asleep.

We kept the campers cool & happy with supper in our air-conditioned dining room, some low-impact outdoor recreation activities followed by a cooling water hose, and the unusual choice of holding our opening "campfire" & snack with our stuffies in an air-conditioned space.

We'll be mostly outdoors tomorrow (Mon.) with cooler temps and lower humidity predicted - more photos to come. Night all!

CAMP AIR QUALITY RESPONSE: Wildfire smoke rolled into camp late last evening after the active part of the camp day was finished. Smoke is still lingering this AM, although it is beginning to abate somewhat. In keeping with our air quality protocol, we have pulled many of our camp specialty activities indoors, and we are limiting all strenuous exertion until conditions improve. We're continuing to monitor the situation...and no matter what, we'll still have a smokin' good time!

FYI - The forecast here in Paynesville is for improvement beginning late this morning, so we are hopeful that our camp activities will not be significantly disrupted going forward.
