Serving the Pawtucket community for 14 years, our 100% volunteer non profit, works to provide supplemental food to students on weekends, keep 10 school pantries stocked, provide soap and hygiene products to students when available and more... read below some of what we've accomplished since Septemer. Because of this incredible community, Pawtucket Backpackers has just reached 95,000 pounds of food distributed and 15,000 bags packed so far this school year! 💛

🚗🚗🚗 What a day!

A huge THANK YOU to The Outreach Program and their volunteers for their incredible generosity. We picked up 86 boxes of food for our Pawtucket students, and it took three full vehicles to bring it all back! 💪🧡

The Outreach Program is dedicated to ending hunger right here in New England, working with communities to provide nutritious meals to those who need them most. We’re so grateful to partner with an organization making such a meaningful impact.

🎉 401Gives is coming! 🎉

From March 31 at 6am to April 1 at 6pm, Rhode Islanders will come together for 401Gives, a powerful statewide day of generosity and Pawtucket Backpackers is proud to be part of it!

Your support helps us provide weekend bags filled with food for local students and families experiencing food insecurity. Every donation helps make sure kids have the meals they need when school isn’t in session.
