Hey all!

Update on Astro!
No one came forward for this sweet pup. He’s got a super friendly and great personality but we knew immediately a noisy shelter wasn’t the place for him. He did not do well in his kennel, you could tell it was really stressing him out.
That said, Rhode Home took him in as a transfer and put him right into a great foster home! We’re very grateful 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Another update! Astro is a foster fail and will be adopted by his foster family 🥹

This adoption was a couple weeks ago but it’s a great update on Muffin and overall the kind of story that really gets you in the feels.
She’s our toothless pup that was found on the streets in need of medical attention with a burst tumor.
Despite her health challenges and situation this pup turned out being a totally sweet and affectionate love bug.
This gentleman came to us and described the kind of dog he’s always wanted, in personality, not breed. And the shelters poundkeeper knew the perfect match 👌🏼 a sweet pup that wants to hang out in your lap and love on you.
We’re very grateful that you welcomed this pup into your wonderful family, thank you 🙏🏻

Also, everyone go ahead and peep their shirts.

There is nothing better than seeing hard work pay off to the benefit of our society.
Huge thank you to all the other advocates who supported this mission. When we work together, get loud and get organized, we can create the changes we need 🙏🏻
Let’s hope we can keep making progress in the realm of animal welfare, legislatively 🫡🤞🏼

East Providence legislator, Rep. Matthew Dawson, sponsored the House version of a bill that would empower animal control officers to take immediate control of animals they find abandoned, neglected, injured or otherwise cruelly mistreated.

Hey all!
Amongst all the lost dogs lately we have something positive to share too!
There was a distressed cat that ended up getting rescued by a Good Samaritan who brought them in to get scanned.
It turns out that this cat, who does have health issues, was missing for months and the owner was looking for them. The scan popped up with all the info and notified her and just like that, they were reunited after months apart! 🥹
These are the moments that really brighten up the shelter life and we’re so glad to see these two back together 🙏🏻
