Today we made Pawnee blue corn mush … we divided it up into two pans and added wild blue berries in one pan and choke cherries in the other pan. Both had coconut sugar and honey in it. They are in the freeze dryer now. Both will become an ingredient for a coffee drink in the future.

We have a Pawnee member who is allergic to blue berries! Are you allergic to blue berries?

Homecoming brings people back who have been gone a month. A year. A decade. Some of them have never tasted corn silk tea. Some have never heard of blue corn coffee. Some do not know that Pawnee blue corn is still being grown and preserved right here.

This weekend is a good time to change that.

PSPS is open both days Friday and Saturday, from 12:30 to 3:30 at 620 Harrison Street. Free taste testing. Three products. Real research. Bring someone who needs to taste this for the first time.
