We strongly recommend holding off on any outdoor burning, yard waste fires, or activities that could generate sparks until conditions calm down. As we are approaching about a year of service for our new ambulance, I wanted to take just a moment to give an update, and to say thank you. Thank you to the Osage Nation and the Osage Nation Congress, for this amazing piece of equipment! Thank you to the City of Pawhuska Council and the City Manager for their continued support in operations. Know that since we have had this ambulance we have saved lives with it. I have personally been in the back and have helped save lives. This ambulance has no limits. We have been able to make it deep into terrain that conventional vehicles could not. Every time we save a life…know that you are a part of that chain of survival, and those saves are a direct result of your kindness, understanding, and generosity. These are not just lives that Pawhuska Ems has saved, but lives we have saved together!

TURN AROUND - DON’T DROWN | Osage Nation Emergency Management encourages folks to stay weather aware and pay attention to road closures during this heavy rain season. If you encounter flooding, do not underestimate the force of water. Turn around and find an alternate route. Highway 20 from Highway 18 to Highway 99 at Hominy is now closed to through traffic due to flooding.
