📢 Garvin County Disc Golf Association Update

Aloha everyone! I wanted to give y'all a quick update on the Garvin County Disc Golf Association minis.

Over the past several weeks, I've been traveling quite a bit for work and am still adjusting to a new work schedule. Because of that, I haven't been able to dedicate the time needed to organize and run our weekly minis the way I'd like.

Rather than putting together events that aren't up to the standard our players deserve, we're going to take a short break.

This isn't the end of GCDGA. just a pause. Once my work schedule settles down and I can consistently commit the time, we'll be back to hosting minis and getting everyone together again.

I truly appreciate everyone who has come out, supported the club, and helped make these events fun. Your support means a lot, and I'm looking forward to getting everyone back on the course as soon as possible.

Thank you all for your patience, and I'll be sure to post updates as soon as we're ready to start throwing minis again.

🥏 GCDGA Mini Recap – Kenneth King Park 🥏

What a great Rise yesterday was for disc golf at Kenneth King Park in Noble! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the Garvin County Disc Golf Association. We appreciate each of you for making another successful mini!

🏆 Congratulations to Noah Cooper on taking 1st Place! Noah also claimed the CTP on Hole 1.

💰 Ace Pot Update: The ace pot rolls over to $31 for our next event!

📅 Upcoming Schedule
We will not be having a mini on Saturday, July 18th. Our next GCDGA mini will be on Saturday, July 25th, with the course to be determined, so keep an eye on the page for the announcement!

Garvin County Disc Golf Association Mini – Saturday, July 11th! 🥏

Join us this Saturday, July 11th at Kenneth King Park in Noble, OK for another GCDGA mini! Come beat the Oklahoma heat with an early morning round and some friendly competition.

⏰ Schedule • Sign-Ups Begin: 7:30 AM • Tee Off: 8:00 AM

📱 Please register and check in on UDisc before the round.

💵 Entry Fee: $7 • $5 – Payout • $1 – Ace Pot (currently at $24 💰) • $1 – GCDGA Club Fund

🏆 Payout Structure • Up to 10 players: Winner Take All • 11 or more players: 75% / 25% payout between 1st and 2nd place

🎯 CTP holes will be Hole 1 and Hole 18

Whether you're looking to compete or just enjoy a fun morning of disc golf, we'd love to have you out! Casual players are always welcome, but they won't be eligible for the cash payout or CTP prizes.

🐉🥏 GCDGA Mini Recap – The Dragon at Purcell 🥏🐉

We had an awesome turnout today with 11 players making it out to take on The Dragon! We beat the Oklahoma heat with our early tee time, but the course definitely lived up to its name—the Dragon slayed us all! 🐉🔥

🏆 Congratulations to Noah Cooper for taking home 1st Place and the $55 payout with a great round! Noah also claimed the CTP on Hole 3.

• Hole 13 – TJ

TJ also came within inches of taking home the Eagle/Field Ace bounty on Hole 9. The shot was perfect, but the chains just wouldn't hold the disc. So close!

💰 Ace Pot Update: The ace pot now rolls over to $24 for our next mini!

🥏 GCDGA Mini Recap – Lakeside Disc Golf Course (Elmore City) 🥏

The wind was definitely a factor today at Lakeside, but that didn't stop our players from getting out and competing!

Congratulations to Seth Potts for taking home the cash with a winning round of -1 (53) and claiming the Winner-Take-All payout. Great shooting in some challenging Oklahoma wind conditions!

Join us tomorrow at Lindsay Municipal Disc Golf Course for a fun round of disc golf!

This is a 9-hole course, and we'll be playing it twice to make a full 18-hole round.

We’re here to grow the game of disc golf across Garvin County and build something that lasts for our community.

Our Mission:
To grow, support, and maintain disc golf opportunities throughout Garvin County through community involvement, youth outreach, volunteer course care, and accessible recreational programs.

What We’re About:
• Supporting and maintaining local courses (including Flightline)
• Bringing disc golf into schools and youth programs
• Hosting local events, leagues, and competitions
• Building a strong, positive disc golf community
