Big thank you to whoever sent the chewy order of kitten dry food, wet food, baby thrive, and treats!

Another big thank you to whoever sent the Amazon order of boxes of gloves, stainless steel litter boxes, litter scoops, and pyrantel dewormer!

These are all essentials we were running very low on and are close to finishing getting all the litter boxes switched to stainless steel now for easier sanitation.

Also big thank you to the foster who donated a bunch of fleece for making blankies for the rescue enclosures too ❤️

EVERY donation makes a difference!!

August Stats:

🔷52 cats/kittens went through TNR programs for spay/neuter, vaccinations, etc
🔶14 kitties got adopted

So far for 2026 we are at :

🔷447 cats/kittens spayed/neutered
🔶48 kitties adopted

Lightning is a very sweet boy! He’s about 1.5 years old so still young enough to be playful but out of that more energetic kitten stage.

His adoption fee is half off so only $50 and he is:
-neutered
-vaccinated
-dewormed
-flea treated
-microchipped

He will also go home with a little blankie with his scent to help him adjust to his new home as well as a surprise goodie bag

Today we took in sweet lil “Nugget” ❤️

Despite being on an intake hold we were able to take this sweet little boy in thanks to the generosity of his founder for donating to cover his medical expenses allowing us to be able to take another one in.

Every single kitten and cat intaked requires a strict medical protocol to ensure they are properly prepared for their furever home when they’re ready. That of course comes at a financial cost.

Donors like Nugget’s finder and fosters like the foster that stepped up offering to take on one more kitten allows us to be able to say “yes” as often as we possibly can!

Nugget received his first deworming doses, a bath to kill and remove the fleas, and placed in an incubator to keep him warm with his fake mama kitty plush 😻

He will get repeat deworming doses in 2 weeks as well as his first FVRCP vaccine and a tiny flea dose med once he hits 1 pound! He’s happily eating a wet food slurry currently

It takes a village to help the kitties and today it took more than one person saying “yes” to ensure this lil one got the help he needed 💙

I wanted to give a very special thank you to Chuck and Friends Healing Garden LLC!

For the generosity and thoughtful gesture of dropping off a big thing of litter, a nice thank you card, a generous donation as well as cash donations from proceeds from their farm stand, and even a Buffalo Wild Wings Gift Card!

The gift card was beyond thoughtful and generous. Everything I do is to help the cats and I’m so happy and blessed to have the support I do to be able to help as many cats as I do. I often don’t think of myself because I’m so focused on the cats so the gift card gesture to provide some relaxation time to grab some good food at a restaurant is very sweet of them!

Monetary donations will help with ongoing medical and daily expenses for the currently 109 kitties under the rescue ❤️

They have been continued supporters of the rescue and donated before as well so a very generous small business and would love to help spread the word about their farm stand!

This was too adorable not to snap a photo and post!

2 of the colony cats at the rescue Dom (left) and Moo Moo (right).

Both used to be semi-feral and not handable when they were trapped for neuter, vaccinations, etc and both have blossomed into now pretty social boys!

They can both be a little shy with strangers but they enjoy pets from people they trust. Both live here at the rescue property and get spoiled 🥰

They are not suitable for indoor pet cats but they know this is their home and they have constant access to food/fresh water, shelter including heated and insulated houses in winter, and plenty of love under their terms ❤️

My colony cats truly are like children to me even the most feral ones! All of course have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and flea treated.

The ones that are handable/friendly enough to get monthly preventatives get revolution every month to protect them from fleas, heartworms, roundworms, hookworms, and ear mites.

Moo Moo and Dom both have made so much progress socially! It takes a lot of love and time to get a feral cat to trust you and some never come around (which is completely okay!) but for the ones who do it truly brings happy tears to my eyes 😻

I consider it an honor when a feral cat finally trusts me

‼️Supplies currently needed‼️

1. Pyrantel dewormer-we’re running low and in need of another bottle! Every cat/kitten that comes through the rescue gets at least 2 doses of this dewormer as well as all the colony cats twice a year to keep them healthy.

2. Kitten dry food- we have 36 kittens chowing down on kitten food right now so are in need a restock on kitten food!

3. Gloves-size medium, We go through a lot of gloves!!!

4. Fly traps to keep environment clean for the colony cats. With 40 colony cats being fed that’s lots of food to attract flies. These are the only thing that keeps flies under control!

5. Flea/tick yard spray-many of the 40 colony cats are feral and can’t get monthly flea preventative like the handable ones can. The yard spray helps keep the feral cats as healthy as possible.

6. Stainless steel litter boxes-We still need 6 more to get all our enclosures at the rescue switched to all stainless steel for sanitation purposes!

7. Stainless steel litter scoopers-trying to switch to completely stainless steel to make things easier and faster to clean and sanitize for health if the kitties at the rescue
