Happy Valley Fiddlers Convention This is the official page of the HVFC. Every Labor Day weekend, come meet old friends, make new ones, and enjoy the traditional music of North Carolina.

The festival site is located on the Yadkin River at 3590 Hwy 268 in Patterson, North Carolina. The convention takes place every Labor Day weekend on the Jones Family Farm, northeast of Lenoir on N.C. Scenic Byway 268 along the banks of the beautiful Yadkin River. Resting in the foothills of the Appalachians in Western North Carolina, the Yadkin Valley is rich in music and history. Just east of the

convention site is the place where Daniel Boone made his home in the 1750s. Boone hunted and explored the valley and beyond for years before heading west through the Cumberland Gap. The convention site itself is home to the resting place of Laura Foster who was immortalized in the famous song "Tom Dooley", first recorded by G.B. Grayson in 1929. Descendants of the Dula and Foster families still attend the Fiddlers Convention each year. The Happy Valley Fiddlers Convention is a proud friend of the Blue Ridge Music Trails of North Carolina.
