Education is an aspect that concerns our institution, therefore we support children from areas of extreme poverty in the Ancash region of Peru. One of the activities that comes highly relevant is the distribution of 300 school packages, which are delivered directly to local elementary schools, by drawing lots. Our future goals and objectives is to increase the number of school packages to local el
ementary school in the region.
The second step was the publication of our magazine "FARO", as the main spokesperson of our institution, which fosters culture and tourism, among our compatriots from this tri-state and Peru. We are one of the most representative institutions of the Peruvian colony in the United States, the Asociación Ancash Perú-NJ-USA, also known as AAPNJUSA inspired by the "Champará" Foundation of NJ, which brought together hundreds of compatriots around the Mass in honor of Saint Peter of Corongo, an artistic event in the house of Ms. María Murichi, in May 2004, the AAPNJUSA emerged 10 years ago after several awareness-raising meetings. The idea of creating an institution purely of the Ancashina colony in the homes came from the social leader and journalist Manuel Cunza García,
This proposal was well received by the Ancashinos residents in this State, who met at the auditorium of the Barnett Hospital, Paterson, on January 21, 2006, with the idea of forming the AAPNJUSA, under the leadership of the Manuel Cunza, Elías Garay, Victor Gonzales, Enrique Alegre, Cornelio Camiloaga, Lorenzo Camiloaga, Pedro Camiloaga, Alejandro Estrada, Amparo Iturre, Evelyn Maguiña, Martha Mautino, María Murichi, Vilma Pajuelo, Domingo Palomino, Nélida Silva, Claudio Silva, among others, besides then Provincial Mayor of Huarás, Eng. Lombardo Mautino Angeles.
Finally, it should be noted that the progress and achievements of the AAPNJUSA have been made possible by the work carried out by the four presidents who led the institution.
