Join AKBA on Saturday, May 2, for our annual flag raising ceremony and car parade in honor of Karachay Revival Day! We invite all to participate as we celebrate the rehabilitation of our people to our homeland after years of exile. The schedule for the day is as follows:

❇️12 PM - Flag Raising at Paterson City Hall

❇️1:30 PM - Meet at Ulu Cami for car parade

❇️2 PM - Return to Ulu Cami for celebratory BBQ and treats

🎓 AKBA is now accepting applications for our 2026 Scholarship! Recipients will be announced at the upcoming Elbrus USA show in May. Students that are 2026 AKBA members in good standing, and enrolling in a technical or undergraduate program for the fall semester are eligible to apply. See additional slides for more details.

📚 Karachay Language Classes begin this Friday, April 10! Classes will be held every Friday at AKBA, in the 2nd floor classroom. Group 1 will be from 5:30 - 6:30 PM and Group 2 will be from 6:30 - 7:30 PM. Classes are free for AKBA members. Please note times may be subject to change depending on dance class schedules.
