Paterson Rotary Club is celebrating our 2nd Century of Service! Join us for lunch! Paterson Rotary is the 70th Club to be chartered world-wide.

Founded in 1913, the Paterson Rotary is the oldest service organization in Paterson. We are an organization of business and professional leaders that provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and build goodwill and peace in our community. Under the Paterson Rotary’s purview, the Paterson Rotary Club #70 Foundation is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization dedica

ted to helping the City of Paterson through charitable works such as coat drives and food drives. Every other week, the club meets for a general meeting where we invite speakers from various disciplines to educate and inform our members. The meeting is hosted at The Brownstone in Paterson, NJ. We had the privilege of welcoming Nate Dorka of Sacred Heart Ministries (Great Falls) to our Rotary meeting this week.

Nate shared powerful insights on service, community impact, and the importance of meeting people where they are. His work continues to make a meaningful difference by supporting individuals and families through compassion, outreach, and faith-driven action.

Grateful for the opportunity to learn more about the incredible work being done in and how we can continue to support and uplift our communities together.

💙⭐️Yesterday, we had a great Paterson Rotary Club meeting! It is always nice coming together for lunch, fellowship, and meaningful conversation about how we can continue serving the community.

spoke about different community organizations, such as the Civic Organization and how she is working to bring back Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Summer Camps.⭐️💙

The Paterson Rotary Club meets every other Thursday at 12:00 PM at Francesco’s in Woodland Park, NJ. Anyone is welcome to join us, and you do not need to be a member to stop by and learn more.

❗️Save the date: Saturday, May 16th is Rotary National Community Service Day. Volunteers are needed and all are welcome to participate. More details to come, so stay tuned!

Congratulations to Past District Governor John Susani and his wife, Dale, on receiving a well-deserved award from the Rotary Gift of Life Foundation 7490 in recognition of their many years of dedicated service.

John shared how deeply meaningful this honor was, especially knowing it reflects the impact of the children their club has sponsored for life-saving care. From countless drives into New York, to organizing dinners, to stepping up time and time again when help was needed, John and Dale have always answered the call with compassion and commitment.

Thank you both for your selfless service, tireless dedication, and for truly living the spirit of Rotary. 💙🌍

Another great Rotary meeting today with an outstanding presentation from estate and elder law attorney Rhonda.

She shared how important it is for every adult — including young adults — to have a Financial Power of Attorney, Advanced Directive, and a Will in place. These documents ensure someone can make medical and financial decisions if you become incapacitated and help avoid unnecessary delays, stress, and probate complications.

Rhonda also walked us through the real costs of long-term care, Medicaid planning in NJ, inheritance tax considerations, and why working with a specialized attorney matters more than ever as people live longer and care costs continue to rise.

Rhonda has offices in NJ and NY and offers a free consultation if you mention Rotary.

We kicked off our first meeting of the 2026 new year on a strong note 👏✨

We were honored to have Mayor as our guest speaker, sharing updates on all the exciting things coming to Paterson, NJ including street paving, new programs, and continued investment in our city 🏙️🚧📈

Thank you, Mayor Sayegh, for taking the time to speak with us and for your ongoing commitment to Paterson 🙏

And a big thank you to Francesco’s Restaurant for accommodating us and providing a delicious lunch 🍽️😋
