Program: “From Manuscripts to Ephermera-Navigating vast collections of NJ State Archives, Libraries & University.”
This presentation aims to provide an overview of the vast collections of historical documents, artifacts, and ephemera that are available in collections around the state. It will highlight the importance of these collections and offer practical guidance on how to navigate and access these resources. Attendees will learn about the types of materials that can be found in these collections, including rare books, photographs, maps, and manuscripts.
They will also discover how these materials can be used to gain insight into various aspects of New Jersey's history, such as the state's role in the American Revolution, the growth of industry and commerce in the 19th and 20th centuries, and the diverse experiences of its residents over time.
