Important Message to Our Players and Guests
We would like to sincerely thank everyone who participated in and supported the NJ Bangladeshi Sports Club badminton tournament. We also want to openly address the concerns and feedback we have received regarding the event.
First and foremost, we apologize to our players and guests who were negatively impacted. We recognize that several aspects of the tournament did not meet the standards that players rightly expect and deserve.
We acknowledge the following issues from the tournament:
• Unacceptably cold conditions inside the facility
• Delays in the tournament start time
• Gaps in communication, including incomplete inclusion in official WhatsApp groups
• Lack of clear and timely communication regarding rules, format, and match scheduling
• Overcrowding and court management challenges due to multiple tournaments running simultaneously
While some of these challenges were influenced by facility-related and logistical factors beyond our direct control, we fully accept that the responsibility for the overall experience rests with us as organizers.
Players invested their time, travel, and registration fees with the expectation of a well-organized and professionally managed event. We regret that we did not consistently deliver on that expectation, and we understand the frustration this caused.
We want to assure our community that we are taking this feedback seriously and are already working on improvements, including:
• Stronger coordination and written agreements with facilities to ensure proper conditions
• Clear advance communication of tournament rules, format, and schedules
• Ensuring all registered players are included in official communication channels
• Improved on-site announcements and real-time updates
• Better contingency planning for delays and unexpected issues
Our goal has always been to grow badminton within our community and provide competitive, respectful, and enjoyable events. Constructive feedback helps us improve, and we are committed to learning from this experience and doing better moving forward.
We appreciate your patience, your honesty, and your continued support as we work to rebuild trust and raise our standards for future tournaments.
