Passaic County DHS Updates Grant Application Forms

UPLIFT Academy is returning to Paterson for its third consecutive year with academic support, college preparation, mentorship, and enrichment for local students. UpLift Academy

Programs include:
🎓 College Path Mentorship — Grades 10–12
SAT preparation, college counseling, mentorship, and one-on-one support.

📐 Math Enrichment — Grades 8–9
Math foundations, problem-solving, confidence-building, and in-person support.

EJAC Public Meeting (10/14 5-6:30pm)

Join the Environmental Justice Advisory Council (EJAC) for their virtual public meeting on 10/14! This meeting’s theme is EJ for the Future. EJAC welcomes input from residents, community organizations, advocates and especially youth to share perspectives on environmental justice issues that should be prioritized for the future. The perspectives shared at this meeting will help identify emerging priorities.

The NJDEP Office of Environmental Justice and Environmental Justice Advisory Council (EJAC) are inviting residents, advocates, organizations, and especially young people to join the upcoming virtual public meeting:

The conversation will focus on “EJ for the Future” and the environmental justice issues that should be prioritized by NJDEP in the years ahead.

Here in Paterson and throughout Passaic County, we know environmental issues are community issues. Air quality, flooding, extreme heat, water quality, healthy homes, green spaces, and other environmental conditions directly impact the health and quality of life of our residents.

This is an opportunity for YOUTH to be part of the conversation and make sure our communities are represented.
