Progress for pigs, but stay vigilant.
Thanks to the voices of compassionate people like you, the "Save Our Bacon Act" was left out of the Farm Bill until it failed to pass Committee. This dangerous provision could undermine state animal protection laws, including measures that help keep mother pigs out of crates so small they can barely move or even turn around.
This is important progress, but it’s not final.
The committee's vote ended in a tie, and lawmakers are expected to revisit the Farm Bill in September. That means the "Save Our Bacon Act" could still be added back in🚨
Every pig raised for food loses everything: their freedom, their family, and ultimately, their life. The most effective way to help them is to leave animals off your plate and choose vegan foods instead.
