WE’RE BACK AT IT, EAST ORANGE!

Mayor Ted R. Green, in collaboration with Street Maintenance, Inc., is proud to bring back FREE LAWN MOWING SERVICES for East Orange senior citizen homeowners ages 62 and older.

This initiative is about more than cutting grass. It’s about taking care of the people who have spent decades taking care of our community, helping our seniors maintain their homes, and beautifying our neighborhoods one lawn at a time.

All residential electric customers will automatically receive a one-time $25 credit on their August bill — no action required.

Additionally, eligible residents already enrolled in qualifying assistance programs will receive $150 in REAP energy assistance, applied as three $50 monthly credits from August through October. No separate application is required.

These credits will provide meaningful relief for families facing high energy costs. But we know more needs to be done to bring the cost of living and utility bills down. This is a start, and we must keep working to make energy more affordable for every New Jersey family.
