Lions District 20-S donates boxes of various ice cream bars from Hershey Creamery in Northport to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue for the front line workers that have worked so hard and so many hours during the Covid-19 Coronavirus pandemic. A grant was applied for and given to Lions District 20-S called “Project Sweetness” that provided the donation of the various ice cream bars to the Long Island Community Hospital. Grant was very specific and could not be used for any PPE equipment nor any food that was not packaged. Grant had to be used for the front line workers within the eleven hospitals in Suffolk County and the two veterans hospitals only and not any other occupation.
