Greater Patchogue COAD We believe that the best time to train, prepare, and become acquainted with one another is prior to an actual disaster response.

The Greater Patchogue Community Organization Active in Disaster was formed in 2013 to prepare to assist residents in the event of an emergency or disaster situations. The Greater Patchogue COAD seeks to enhance citizen and community readiness through individual, organizational, faith based-based and business cooperation to support all-hazard preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation. It is our belief that training is a priority of a viable COAD.

🚨 Attention Suffolk County Residents 🚨

Due to dry conditions this weekend, we urge everyone to limit recreational fires and follow these important fire safety tips:

❌ Avoid open flames and burns during dry spells

🧯 Keep a fire extinguisher nearby when using fire pits or grills

💧 Always fully extinguish fires—douse with water and stir the ashes.

🌬️ Refrain from burning on windy days, as even a small breeze can spread embers.

📞 If you spot an uncontrolled fire, call emergency services immediately.
