Day 3 in Washington, D.C. El Encuentro Nacional

Today, we visited the offices of Congressman Garbarino and Congressman Goldman. We brought a clear message and shared real stories about how current policies are impacting our communities—particularly in the areas of access to healthcare, immigration, artificial intelligence, and education.

These conversations are critical to ensuring that the voices of immigrant families, women, survivors, and underserved communities are heard by policymakers. Advocacy is about more than policy; it is about people, their experiences, and their right to thrive.

Proud to represent SEPA Mujer and Long Island, elevating the voices of those we serve and advocating for policies that promote equity, opportunity, and justice for all.

Day 2: Encuentro Nacional in Washington DC. Over 150 organizations members of the Hispanic Federation lobbied for issues that matters to our community such us Immigration: Federal Immigration Operation, Due Process, Detention Overhaul. Healthcare access, vaccines, healthcare care provider resources. AI and Tech: Digital infrastructure investments that expand access and opportunities, AI Literacy and workforce development and Non- Profit protections.
