Throwback time! 🎉 June 1996 was packed with fun, super-relatable “wow, that was really how life worked” facts:
⛽️ Gas prices felt wildly low (by today’s standards)
In 1996, regular gas was roughly around $1.20–$1.40/gal depending on where you lived—so road trips didn’t feel like a budget emergency. 😅
📺 The internet = wait… is it loading??
“Online” meant dial-up—that sound, the connection taking forever, and hoping you didn’t get disconnected mid-download.
🎮 Entertainment was more… physical
CDs, game demos, and borrowing stuff from friends felt way more “hands-on” than today’s instant everything.
