All Firing is complete at the 2026 CMP National Matches at Camp Perry. VFB would like to thank every person that donated and purchased raffle tickets or bought SWAG from our SWAG Shop. VFB started off the National Matches by serving as Volunteer coaches and instructors at the Junior Highpower Clinic and the Advanced Highpower Clinic.
Veteran's Family Brigade had an outstanding showing from our team members. Congrats to Major Kirk Freeman from the National Guard on winning the President's Hundred Match.
Six VFB Team members earned their President's Hundred Tab. 14th Wood, Jonathan, 22nd Green, Brandon, 44th Duitsman, Daniel, 53rd Blankenship, Christopher, 62nd Martinez, Richard, and 84th Watson-Carlson, Julia.
The National Trophy Individual Match is fired by the top service rifle marksmen in the country. Congrats to Matthew Wood on winning the NTI. 1st place Veteran and 8th overall was Green, Brandon, 3rd Veteran was Blankenship, Christopher,4th Veteran was Wood, Jonathan 6th Veteran was Watson-Carlson, Julia, and 9th Veteran was Duitsman, Daniel.
The National Trophy Team Match has 2 categories; the At Large division was composed of 44 teams that were not eligible to compete for the National Trophy due to residency or organizational requirements. VFB-Acme Rifles fielded 2 teams. VFB-Acme Anderson finished in 2nd Place and VFB-Acme Arcularius finished in 4th. VFB-Acme Anderson finioshed in 7th place out all 74 teams with a 2926-90X.
The Mid-Range National Championship is fired at 600 Yards.
Acme ACME Rifles John Arcularius and Dwayne Lewis won the AR Tactical day 1 team match and John Arcularius finished 2nd overall in the Mid Range National Championship. 4th place went to Gervasio, Christopher.
The Long Range National Championship is fired at 1000 yards. 6 individual 1000 yard matches and a Palma Match fired at 800, 900 and 1000 yards determines the champion. Congrats to SFC Amanda Elsenboss on her win in the Long Range National Championship. VFB team members primarily competed in the AR Tactical category. James Mauer won the Kerr Memorial Match with a 198-11X and finished in 4th place overall in AR Tactical with a 1594-53X. VFB Hartley competed in two 2 Man Team matches and the teams were named in honor of VFB and retired Army Reserve Marksmanship Unit team member Richard Hartley. The Team was coached by Chris Gervasio, Team Captain Richard Hartley and firing members Matt Anderson and James Mauer. They finished in 2nd place in both matches.
