A Quick Reminder!

Every week, thousands of pounds of food are rescued, sorted, packed and distributed by a small staff and an army of volunteers.
Recently, we've seen an increase in comments treating Borderlands as though it were a grocery store.
It isn't.

Some weeks you'll get produce that is absolutely beautiful. Some weeks you'll get produce that needs to be used quickly. That's the nature of produce rescue.
What amazes us most isn't the occasional imperfect mango or tomato. It's the volunteers showing up before dawn, the hosts opening their doors and the families finding ways to turn rescued food into meals.
We'd love to see more of that.
Share your recipes. Share your favorite finds. Share the meals you've created. Share the produce you preserved, canned, dehydrated or froze.
And thank you so much for allowing us to serve you 🍅🫛🍉🌵

Hey friends — our 2025 Annual Report is hot off the press, so take a look and see all the amazing things you and our staff and volunteers have made possible: https://ow.ly/xvl950Z8Y9n.

Inside you'll find a letter from our Executive Director Louise Misztal, plus a range of accomplishments, photos, and financials. Many thanks for all your support! It takes an alliance to protect these Sky Islands we call home.
