Yad Leah: Clothing Israel's Needy Yad Leah's mission is to alleviate the impact of poverty and restore dignity to needy families in Israel by providing them with clothing.

Yad Leah is an organization with a mission to help address the numerous affects of poverty in Israel by providing excellent quality, new and lightly used clothing and personal items to lower income communities. Sadly, 24% of Israelis live below the poverty line. Through individual donations, schools, synagogues, UJA Federation, and community center clothing drives, Yad Leah collects a range of clothing for infants, children, men, women and maternity. We also collect jackets, hair accessories, hats, linens, towels, tablecloths, handbags, school bags, and cosmetics. American Friends of Yad Leah is a non-profit organization qualified as a tax exempt organization under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Clothing is more than just fabric—it’s dignity, confidence, and the ability to face the world with pride.

For too many children, the lack of proper clothing feels like an obstacle they can’t overcome. ‘How will I get a job if I can’t even dress like a mentsch?’ These are the realities many families in Israel face.

At Yad Leah, we’re on a mission to ensure that every child and family has the clothing they need to hold their heads up high and embrace every opportunity with confidence. Join us in making a difference, one outfit at a time. 💙👕
