On Sunday, June 21st, we gather at sunrise to light the fire and welcome the embrace of summer. The tender blossoms and rushing waters of springtime are now a memory that we honor. We give thanks to Grandfather Sun for the hot days and warm nights to come that will grow our crops and nourish our spirits. Join us for a morning of abundance and sacred togetherness at nibezun for a summer solstice sunrise ceremony. Breakfast will be provided. This no-cost event is open to the public. ☀

One week from today!
Neqotkuk elder Marina Moulton will be at the Penobscot Nation Boys and Girls Club to share Wampum Belt Teachings.
Bring your hand drums, rattles, ji’kmaqns and songs. 
This event is open to all Wabanaki and their families.

We have been receiving many questions about our Wampum Belt Teachings happening on June 5 regarding Non-Binary and Two-Spirit and what they should wear.
If you are Two-Spirit/Non-Binary, come as you are most comfortable! We hope to see you all there and we are sorry for any confusion or distress this may have caused.

🌸nibezun’s 10th Year Anniversary Fundraiser🌸

We are fundraising to support our 10th Year Anniversary. Join us in celebrating and honoring the work that has been done for the last 10 years, with a donation to help us continue and grow.

TunkJoy will be making the sourdough pizza crust while Katahdin Kitchen will be curating the menu for the night. We feel delighted to be slinging the slices together 🍕
