Today’s Wreaths Across America at Rotten Bayou cemetery was amazing. The community came out to help us lay 287 wreaths today. What an amazing day. The Mayor of Diamondhead, The Mayor of Pass Christian, Hancock County Supervisor all spoke We had our prayer lead by a VFW member from Pass Christian. The Hancock JROTC presented colors. Local Cub scouts and Boy Scouts, along with a family member placed flags in the wreath. Overall, the love for our Veterans is overwhelming. The Descendants of Juan de Cuevas Family Association placed flags on the light poles going into the graveyard.

Our Wreaths arrived!! Mr. Tim Ross was the driver. NWCA Honeybees #257 presented the driver with the organizations challenge coin along with the Honeybees challenge coin. He had another local drop, then to Baton Rouge, LA.

NWCA National President and local club President Darlene Carpenter presented the check from our National Organization to Honey LaBlanc, Director of Camp Awesome.
The Carpenter family were shown around Camp Wilkes, Biloxi, MS, where senior campers will be attending Nov. 22-25.

From OH we traveled up to Eaton Rapids, MI to visit the VFW National Home. Katie Darling was our es**rt and she did an amazing job. This home is there to help active duty and retired Veterans and families get back on their feet. It’s a beautiful community, surrounded by cornfield’s. I’ll be bringing information to National.

Attended the 126 VFW National Convention, in Columbus, OH. Got to meet the out-going Commander-in-Chief Al Lipphardt. I presented him with one of our national coins and a Honeybee #257 coin. He gave me one of his. A really nice gentleman. He along with other VFW Veterans, appeared on the hill to stand up for Veterans.
