FATHERS DAY MAY HIT DIFFERENT FOR SOME TODAY: Today isn't just about celebrating the perfect dads. It's about honoring the men who keep showing up.
To the fathers working long hours just to make sure there's food on the table...I see you.
To the single dads carrying the weight of two parents...I see you.
To the dads paying child support, fighting through court dates, driving every mile they can just to get a few hours with their children...don't let anyone tell you that your effort doesn't matter. Keep showing up.
To the fathers battling addiction, mental health, financial struggles, or the mistakes of yesterday, but choosing every single day to put their children first...keep fighting. Your kids don't need a perfect father. They need a present one.
And to the single moms who have had to be both Mom and Dad because life demanded it...today, I honor you too. I know that weight isn't easy to carry.
Being a parent isn't about having it all figured out. It's about sacrificing when you're exhausted, loving when you're hurting, and putting those little eyes ahead of your own pain.
Some of you won't hear "thank you" today.
Some of you won't get a phone call.
Some of you may spend today missing your children or wishing things were different.
Don't quit.
Every diaper changed.
Every late-night bottle.
Every overtime shift.
Every child support payment.
Every school event.
Every bedtime story.
Every hug.
Every "I love you."
It all matters.
Keep becoming the man or woman your children will one day be proud to call their parent. They may not understand your sacrifices today...but one day they will.
Happy Father's Day to every father doing the work, every stepdad who stepped up, every grandfather raising another generation, every foster dad, every father figure, and every single mom carrying both titles.
Keep showing up.
Keep loving.
Keep fighting.
Your children are watching...and your presence will always mean more than your perfection.
Much love and respect to every one of you.
