Supplies For Soldiers

Supplies For Soldiers SuppliesForSoldiers@chart Supplies for Soldiers was established in 2004 to help meet the needs of our local troops and their families.

To date we have mailed over 10,000 care packages supporting hometown heroes from San Luis Obispo County. Supplies for Soldiers adopts individuals, groups and units to provide the morale and support before, during and after deployment. Every penny donated goes toward supporting the needs of our local troops and their families. A large portion of our volunteers have or have had a loved one deployed

overseas. As a community, we need to show our Troop's and their families that we care about them...please consider donating. Paypal Donations: [email protected]

Do NOT click the Opt-in link!

Heads up! Be careful in MyPay when looking up your Leave and Earning Statement (LES).

There is a new link in MyPay that sits above the LES link. Clicking on the wrong link can accidentally get you on a path to the Blended Retirement System (BRS) opt-in. Opting in is irrevocable without applying to the Board for Correction of Military Records.

DoD policy, "Implementing the Blended Retirement System," dated January 27, 2017, is clear that the decision to elect to enroll in the Blended Retirement System (BRS) is irrevocable. This was emphasized in the mandatory BRS Opt-In Training and reiterated during the actual opt-in process on myPay. When opting in via myPay, the Service member must acknowledge no less than three times that he or she is aware the decision to opt-in is irrevocable and fully understands that he or she is opting into the Blended Retirement System. Accordingly, there is no way to opt out of BRS once the transaction is completed via myPay. Service members must ensure that opting-in is the right course of action for themselves and their Families.

A Service member always has the option of applying to the Board for Correction of Military Records for relief for any matter related to pay and benefits, but must prove a specific error or injustice. There is no guarantee the Board will take action to reverse this member's election to enroll in the BRS.
