Cypress Mountain Masonic Lodge No. 196 F&AM Freemasonry is the oldest fraternal organization in the world. We who travel these pages are searching for higher enlightenment. That is Freemasonry.

It's members have included Kings, Presidents, Prime Ministers, Statesmen, Generals, Admirals, Supreme Court Chief Justices, corporate CEOs, opera stars, movie stars, and probably, your next door neighbor. Our Mission

"Quite simply, it is our goal to make good men better thereby bringing families together." In our fast world, where the pressures on time become greater and greater, there are too few times when father's can share quality time with their sons. As boys grow into men, unfortunately the sharing opportunities grow even more rare. But as a man there is one thing you can always share with your father, No matter how much time or how many miles separate you. At the turn of the century, almost every man's father was a Mason. As was his father before him, and his before that. It was only natural that every man wanted to pass unto his son, his wisdom, knowledge, experience, and his good reputation. By the middle of this century, as the pace of life quickened, and families moved apart, centuries old tradition were being stretched, often to the breaking point. But it is a rare Mason who does not hope in his heart that his sons will join the craft. There's a strong tradition in the Fraternity that we never ask anyone to join our ranks. You have to ask to join.

Congratulations to Brothers Moran and Shroyer on receiving the degrees of the Scottish Rite. They are our newest 32 degree masters of the royal secret.
We would like to thank the valley of Fresno for hosting the reunion and doing an excellent job on the degrees.
