Your Pasco Firefighters were proud to attend the Fire Prevention Week community event at Numerica Pavilion!

Your Firefighters truly enjoy connecting with our community, sharing fire safety education and giving families the opportunity to see one of our fire engines up close. These moments allow us to hopefully inspire the next generation, and remind our community that we’re here to serve, both on and off duty.

Community engagement is a top priority for your Pasco Firefighters, and we’re grateful for every opportunity to connect with the people we proudly serve. Thank you to everyone who came out and spent time with us!

REMINDER: Pasco City Council workshop reminder for tomorrow night.

The Pasco City Council will be discussing proposed budget cuts that impact our firefighters and public safety.

These decisions matter. We want to make sure our community understands what’s being discussed and how it impacts the service we provide to our community.

We encourage everyone to come out, stay informed, and be part of the conversation. Public safety affects all of us, and our community deserves to have a voice.

Your Pasco Firefighters have been stretched thin tonight handling multiple high priority medical emergencies alongside our colleagues of Pasco Police.

You can’t plan for an emergency, but you should be able to count on help when you need it the most. Minutes matter.

City council is weighing firing 14 firefighters and closing a fire station. That decision could affect response times and our ability to safely handle major incidents without taking resources from neighboring communities.

Our city needs a fire department ready to meet the demand.

Stay involved, stay informed, and please keep an eye out for information on future meeting dates and times.

We are proud to serve you Pasco.

📚Elementary visit🚨

Your Pasco Firefighters from A shift at Station 85 (located on Road 100) were able to visiting Columbia River Elementary this week to talk with 3 kindergarten classes about firefighters!

Topics of education included fire safety as well as showing all of our specialized equipment we use to help when our citizens need us.

Firefighter/Paramedic Matt Miller “bunked up” to show the students what a firefighter may look and sound like while fighting a fire.

Thank you for having us Columbia River Elementary! We are proud to serve the citizens of Pasco.

🔥 URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT 🔥

Pasco is growing. Our fire department shouldn’t be shrinking.

The proposed budget would eliminate 14 firefighters and close one fire station. For our community, that means fewer firefighters and fewer resources available when you call 911.

We believe Pasco deserves better.

We’re going to fight for the citizens of Pasco and for the level of service our community deserves.

One of your Pasco Firefighters, Ty Schoenwald, was part of something truly heartwarming this past month. Here’s his story: About a month ago, I learned about a group called MakeGood that makes a toddler mobility trainer (TMT). MakeGood connects families with individuals who have 3D printers and are willing to print the TMT. They also make it easy for families to get the chair sponsored through donations and fundraising.
I signed up to be a maker for MakeGood. Our son has some special needs, and we have family and friends whose children have needs too, so I knew this would be an extraordinary way to help families who couldn’t otherwise get a chair. At the beginning of September, I claimed a build for a community member and got his chair printed. Ashley and I decided to donate all of the materials for our first build. Ashley was excited that the family requested Bluey-themed colors.
After we got everything printed and put together, I asked if he would like a tour of a fire station and to pick up the TMT. It was powerful to see how happy it made the little boy to have that freedom of mobility. It was a special day for him, Ashley, me, and the crew at Station 81.
If you would like to help make more chairs, you can donate by copying the link below or by clicking the donation link in our Story.

Your Pasco Fire Fighters traveled to IAFF Fallen Firefighter Memorial in Colorado to honor the brothers and sisters who gave everything for this job.
This year, 288 names were added to the memorial wall. We remember their sacrifice, stand beside their families, and carry their names forward.

📸 1: Justin Lockman, Jeremy Garrett, Brandon Wertman, and Tyrel Stoker representing Pasco Firefighters Local 1433.

📸 2: IAFF members from Richland, Pasco, Walla Walla, and Kennewick standing together in support of Walla Walla Fire Department Engineer/Paramedic Ryan Pleasants, who died in the line of duty in January 2024.

📸 3: With Dave Tysdal of Coeur d’Alene Fire Department, who survived an ambush in July 2025 that claimed the lives of Frank Hardwood and John Morrison.

Never Forgotten. Never Alone.
