The 2026 World Cup will be played on grass, even at NFL stadiums that feature synthetic fields. Turf, and debate over it, will return next NFL season.

"The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission banned numerous hormone-disrupting chemicals from toys and products used by young children. Those products, such as pacifiers, teething toys and bath toys, are banned even though the children would be exposed for much shorter times compared to playground surfaces.

Why? Probably because rubber playground surfaces were not popular when the law was passed banning certain chemicals from toys in 2008."

Many communities are renovating playgrounds using materials that were never proven safe for children’s long-term use.
