ICE OUT OF TRI! WE PROTECT OUR OWN!

Join Tri-Cities Socialists for a community meeting focused on building I.C.E. resistance in our neighborhoods.

When: Fri. 12/12 at 5:30PM
Where: Cafe Con Arte, 430 W Columbia St, Pasco

I.C.E. is violently surging across the U.S. While the Trump administration is intent making a show of force in major cities, smaller suburban and rural areas like our own are often assaulted with little public response. In neighboring Yakima, attacks on our neighbors and on Native peoples by I.C.E. agents are escalating with both violent raids and secret police surveillance tactics. While I.C.E. presence in Tri has been sporadic so far, t is only a matter of time before the surge reaches us.

Only the people can stop this fascist tide! We must join together to defend our communities and exercise our right to resist tyranny. By uniting the people and working together, we can keep I.C.E. out of our neighborhoods and show them that Tri-Cities is not to be messed with!

Come learn how to organize your neighbors to be ready when I.C.E. comes to town, and show some love to our local community hubs by buying a coffee while you're joining us at Cafe Con Arte!

Thank you to all our volunteers for coming today to help us prepare for our Neighborhood I.C.E. Watch & Response Unit campaign. Soon we will be knocking on doors and connecting apartment buildings, neighborhoods, and communities together in the work of resisting I.C.E. right here in Tri-Cities

🇻🇪No War On Venezuela!🇻🇪

For months, the U.S. has been dropping bombs on Venezuelan civilian vessels, murdering crews with no accountability. The Trump administration's paper-thin excuse of suspected "drug trafficking" is nothing more than a racist cover for acts of war against unarmed civilians--terrorism by another name.

Now Trump is escalating attacks on Venezuela, positioning ships for invasion. By now, we hope people know better than to trust his word when Trump says there are no plans for invasion. By any definition, the illegal and amoral killing of Venezuelan civilians, destruction of vessels, and rapid buildup of US military might in the region are already acts of war.

Trump is targeting Venezuela for the same reason the U.S. has been targeting them for more than 20 years--because of the Bolivarian Revolution and the building of real socialist power outside the grip of Wall Street and U.S. Monroe Doctrine tyranny!

The racist lies of drug trafficking and other supposed crimes are the same lies used to justify racist gestapo ICE violence in our communities. What's more, the economic warfare, political coups, and military invasions the U.S. has waged on Latin America are the primary drivers of immigration to the U.S. in the first place!

We stand in solidarity with the Venezuelan people in resisting U.S. domination!

No war on Venezuela!🇻🇪

While our position is that only a people's revolution can get us to socialism, the most imperative task at the moment is to fight Trump's fascist surge in every way possible. Elections are only one arena of this struggle, it will still take organizing and mobilizing in our communities to build people power! But we can make our task easier by making sure local governments aren't stacked with reactionaries eager to roll over for Trump and sell our communities out to state terror.

Yesterday the Tri-Cities came out in the thousands to resist the Trump administration.

Now is the time to take the energy we saw at the rally yesterday and channel into stable, resilient organizing channels. Let's bring the resistance forward to a higher, stronger stage.

One way you can keep the momentum up is by joining us tomorrow for a class on the rise of fascism in the US and how we can fight back! If you are interested, we will see you at the Kennewick Library on Union Street at 6:45pm on Monday, 10/20.

The Trump administration has launched a war on the working class. Between brutal ICE raids, deploying the military to force compliance out of US cities, cuts to programs that help the poor, attacks on labor, and more, it is clear Trump and his ruling class coalition want nothing less than the complete fascist takeover of U.S. society.

Socialism proposes the only real solutions to the problems of capitalism, and as such is the biggest threat to any fascist project. Come learn how we can build an resistance against Trump that is capable not just of holding him back, but winning positive change.

They've got money for wars, but can't feed the poor

The government shutdown makes ruling class priorities clear: helping families is not considered "essential" to the US state, but tearing families apart is!

Only the movement of the whole working class can ensure the Democrats stick to their commitments and reverse Trump's attacks on Medicaid and other human services. And only a mass movement and protests can keep Trump from gutting the government of even more social programs people rely on.
