It is with a heavy heart we mourn the passing of a beloved local organizer, Lucifer.

Lucifer brought enthusiasm and eagerness to the struggle, always lighting up events with their joyful energy. A tireless advocate for the liberation of the Palestinian people, they stood up to injustice anywhere they saw it. Lucifer was never shy to ask how they could help build the people's movement, and demonstrated courage in the face of tyranny.

In the revolutionary tradition, we honor our fallen comrade's legacy by carrying the struggle for liberation forward. Lucifer is not gone, they remain with us in the work we do to build a better world. This is why we say:

Lucifer, ¡Presente!

Trump is actively shredding what little democratic power working people have, and has deployed ICE -- his personal stormtroopers -- to terrify and discipline the people. The US has launched a capricious and unprovoked war on Iran, targeting schools with strikes that have killed hundreds of children. Our neighbors in Cuba are starving as the Trump regime's blockade halts all fuel shipments to the country. The Maduros have been illegally held in custody for over 80 days. The US spends billions on terror abroad and at home while our social services wither on the vine, our infrastructure crumbles, and the cost of necessities skyrockets. This is an all-out war on the people!

It is not enough to simply resist in the abstract -- we need a positive program for change. History shows us, again and again, that only a socialist movement can defeat a fascist assault!

Yakima stands against US terror at home and abroad!

Join us in a Tri-Cities contingent to stand with our neighbors in Yakima in resisting Flock surveillance, ICE terror, and genocide in the Middle East. Sunday March 15th, 3PM-7PM, at the District Court building in Yakima, we will march alongside our neighbors in opposition to the racist terror inflicted by the U.S. across Yakima County and across the world.

Yakima County has had the highest ICE arrests per capita of any county in Washington state! This fascist terror must be defeated wherever it is. As good neighbors, Tri-Cities stands with Yakima in resisting ICE just as we stand as neighbors in resisting ICE in our apartment complexes, neighborhoods, and communities.

Thanks to all our volunteers who came out to our whistle kit assembly last Sunday! We broke bread (papusas, actually), shared some laughs, and put together whistles and other political materials. We now have hundreds of whistles ready to go for the neighborhoods we have been organizing to help them stay alert and ready.
