We are accepting new 4-H members to join the Jackson County 4-H Leadership Team. Becoming a member of the Leadership Team will allow the 4-Her to develop more community leadership skills, learn more about 4-H, and become a community leader for younger 4-Her's.

Please email [email protected] for an application. All interviews for new applicants will be held on Monday, July 13th. Deadline to apply is June 30th.

Our Jackson County youth had a great two day leadership camp at MGCCC Estuarine Education Center for a team-building day amongst their peers. They had a fun visit participating on the rock climbing wall, rope course, and nature trails. The nature trails were so much fun for the youth because they were able to observe all of natures beautiful creatures. Thank you so much for MGCCC Estuarine Education Center for hosting our summer camp and we look forward to future outdoor 4-H event.

Our young 4-H Chefs had a great time cooking Sloppy Joes online with Chef B. Sloppy Joes are the ultimate summer break comfort food, offering a quick, 30-minute meal that kids and adults love. This is a quick recipe for youth to learn how to make especially for those "Summer Stomachs".

These look delicious and can be made ahead of time and reheated when the kids come in from playing. The saucy filling freezes beautifully for up to a month, making it a low-stress recipe that would be a great Summer Meal.
