This year brought real challenges — financial, social, and environmental. To keep our programs alive when youth needed them most, we made a bold decision:
Tools for Peace is now a fully volunteer-run organization, including our Executive Director. The transition hasn’t been easy, but the impact has been extraordinary.
Because of our community, we accomplished so much:
🌟 Reached 800+ middle school students with twice-weekly SEL programs
🌟 Continued serving LA schools through our partnership with L.A.C.E.R.
🌟 Provided 30 camp scholarships
🌟 Heard from teens experiencing more confidence, connection, creativity, and the freedom to be themselves
Even with a volunteer team, essential costs remain — camp facilities and supplies, scholarships, curriculum development, and community outreach.
