A very special THANK YOU is reserved for today.
Today we say THANK YOU to the family of Tim Haney for their continued support and contributions, not just to the golf tournament, but to Ravens Nest 18 and our community as a whole.
Ravens Nest 18 will forever carry the memory of Tim “Coach” Haney - not just in words, but in the very fabric of who we are.
Tim’s roots with our Ravens Nest stretch back to the earliest days at Vandy’s Place, where he quickly became more than a member. He became a standard. From the beginning, he embodied what it meant to serve something larger than yourself. Whether he was organizing events, setting up before anyone arrived, or staying late to make sure everything was done right, Tim showed up - every single time. No hesitation. No need for recognition. Just a quiet, relentless commitment to doing good for others.
His heart was always pointed toward Pasadena - especially its kids. Tim believed in them, invested in them, and worked tirelessly to create opportunities for them. That belief lives on through the Ravens Nest Scholarship Golf Tournament that proudly bears Tim’s name and is held in his honor - a reflection of the generosity, humility, and purpose that defined his life. Every scholarship awarded, every young person given a chance, carries a piece of Tim forward.
Beyond the Ravens Nest, Tim poured that same passion into coaching wrestling and golf at Chesapeake High School. To his athletes, he was more than a coach. He was a mentor, a steady voice, and someone who saw potential where others might not. His impact didn’t end with the final whistle or the last putt - it stayed with those kids, shaping who they became long after they left his teams.
Tim left us far too soon. But what he built, what he gave, and what he stood for - those things don’t leave. They remain. In our work. In our community. In the way we show up for one another.
His spirit is not just remembered at Ravens Nest 18 - it lives here.
And it always will.
We look forward to having a great day this Saturday, April 25th at Compass Pointe Golf Courses in memory of Tim.
We have 3 foursomes remaining - come out and support a great cause!!!
