White Cane Safety Day or White Cane Awareness Day is observed annually on October 15th in the United States, to celebrate the independence, rights, and dignity of people who are blind or have low vision. It is observed by reminding people to obey traffic laws and etiquette and to recognize the importance and value of using a white cane for people who cannot see well. Please join us on October 15 at 7 pm Pacific Time, and invite others to this conversation.

The Tema Greenwich Lions Club and Tema Synergy Club Branch, in partnership with Accra Elite Lions Club , Accra Nyansapow Virtual Lions Club , and NASarp Foundation invite you to support and join us for a heartwarming and impactful outreach: "A Day with Persons with Visual Impairment".

Education and literacy are powerful tools for empowerment. For visually impaired students, access to basic learning tools like Braille sheets and styluses with frames opens doors to learning, independence, and a brighter future. Through the Mobility & Independence Project, the Lions Clubs International Foundation India is facilitating the distribution of 600 motorised wheelchairs across India, helping individuals experience greater mobility, independence and freedom.
